Varsity Fanclub Splits From Capitol Records

Today, we report why Varsity Fanclub (January 25 - February 1, 2009) had to delay their self-titled debut album for the third time. Most of the fans were hoping to see the album get released on May 26th, which was listed on Amazon.com. When the album did not hit stores, fans were confused. We went into further investigation and found out that the band has left their record label, Capitol Records, just recently. That's what they get for delaying yet another Varsity Fanclub album.

Now they are looking for a new label that will support them better, and they are recording more songs for the album. In the meantime, the boys are still going on a summer tour. We hope they can actually find a record label that will put their album out. Maybe Warner Bros. or Hollywood Records will do. We can't see them go down the way NLT did. Even though NLT was terrible to begin with, it was sad to know that they released three albums during a course of two years, and Universal didn't even put out the record. So the band broke up last month, and Kevin McHale went into the FOX television show "Glee".

Varsity Fanclub cannot repeat that failure. We know they could do better. So, we ask that the fans keep supporting them, so someone will release the album.
